🖇️ Manage Actions directly inside the Skill editor
1787230881961
You can now manage Actions without ever leaving the skill you're editing. A new Actions tab lives right in the side panel — a full workspace to view, search, create, edit, and copy actions — with a few upgrades built in:
Recommended actions — every action is automatically matched to the intent(s) it serves, so you see what's relevant to the skill you're editing first, ranked above your full library. A Return-request skill surfaces return-related actions; an Order-status skill surfaces order-lookup ones.
Action groups — when several apps can do the same job (e.g. Cancel Subscription on Recharge, Skio, Subscriptions by Loop, Smartrr), they're bundled into a single card, shown if you haven't connected any of those apps yet. Click it, pick your app, and authenticate in-panel — the card is swapped for the live action from your app, already in place in the skill.
Dropdown redesign — the action selection dropdown (via the button,
/, or@) now leads with Recommended actions, shows each app's real icon, and groups the rest by app.
The panel helps you spot which actions are actually useful for the skill you're building. Found one you like? Hover over it, click Copy, then paste it wherever it makes sense in your skill.
Why it matters
Before, Actions and Skills lived on separate pages, and browsing meant scrolling one long, undifferentiated list — with no visibility into actions from apps you hadn't connected yet. Now it's all in one place: build your skill and its actions in the same flow, and discover what's relevant before you even connect the app.
One important thing to know
An action only gets used by the AI Agent once it's referenced in a skill or guidance — otherwise it's enabled but sits unused. Today this only applies to auto-added actions; by end of year, it'll apply to all actions. Worth referencing the ones you want live now, so nothing gets left behind.
How to access
Open any skill and view Recommended actions right in the side panel, or head to the dedicated Actions tab for the full picture — from there you can view, search, create, edit, or copy any action straight into your skill.
