We're excited to announce that you can now seamlessly migrate your phone numbers from other 3rd-party WhatsApp integrations into Gorgias through our new self-service migration wizard.
Why should I migrate?
Migrating your phone number will allow you to keep the same phone number when switching over from using other helpdesk WhatsApp integrations or tools like 360dialog or Twilio.
It will allow you to easily transfer your number while retaining important data such as display name, quality rating, messaging limit, and high-quality message templates.
What numbers are eligible for migration?
The WhatsApp Business migration process is applicable to numbers registered with WhatsApp through the WhatsApp Business API, including those integrated through 3rd-party providers.
Phone numbers registered via the official WhatsApp mobile or desktop application do not need to be migrated and can be transferred into Gorgias by following these steps.
Please note that previous conversations held on your old provider cannot be migrated due to privacy and security limitations set by Meta, in compliance with WhatsApp encryption.
To migrate your phone number, simply go to the WhatsApp integration page in Gorgias and click on the "Migrate from another provider" button. Our wizard will guide you through the migration process step-by-step, ensuring a smooth transition.
