Starting today, you can re-sync your store website and single-page URLs as knowledge for AI Agent once every 30 days instead of once a day.

Gorgias reads the public pages of your store to help AI Agent answer questions about your products, policies, and brand. Shopify has introduced stricter limits for external tools that read store pages, so we’re changing how often you can start a website re-sync.

What this means for you

After you re-sync your store website, the Sync button is unavailable until your next re-sync date. You can see when you can sync again by hovering your cursor over the Sync button in your knowledge library.

Changes you make to your website will appear in AI Agent after your next website re-sync.

What this means for you

  • AI Agent continues to use website content that has already been synced

  • No previously synced content is removed

  • When a sync runs, AI Agent continues to read all available pages on your store

  • Your first website sync after you connect a store is unchanged

For time-sensitive changes

If you need AI Agent to use updated information before your next website re-sync—for example, a promotion, shipping deadline, or temporary policy—create or update guidance in Gorgias.

You can also turn off outdated content so AI Agent does not use it in new conversations.

Why we’re making this change

Shopify has introduced stricter limits for external tools that read store pages. This change helps us continue to provide website sync while we work on longer-term improvements.
