When we ask brands what they love about Gorgias, you often mention that Gorgias empowers your team to personalize answers, manage orders, and resolve inquiries without switching tabs.
To reduce tab-switching even further, you can now create and manage Shopfiy customer profiles within Gorgias.
Easily keep Gorgias and Shopify profiles in sync
Here’s what you can do with this new release:
Sync customer data with ease: By triggering the sync, you can create or update customer profiles in Shopify. No more worrying about data discrepancies across platforms.
Within Gorgias, you can push a variety of information about your customer to Shopify, including email, name, phone number, and shipping address.
How does this help you?
🛠️ Simple workflow: You choose when to trigger the sync with the click of a button, ensuring you’re always in control.
💡 Better data consistency: Changes made directly in Shopify are already automatically reflected in Gorgias. With this release, changes in Gorgias can also be reflected in Shopify with just a few clicks.
⚡ Create orders without leaving Gorgias: When a new customer’s message lands in Gorgias, you can easily create a new Shopify profile and create an order for them, without ever having to leave Gorgias or open Shopify.
Here’s how it works:
Find the new “Sync profile in Shopify” button
A new button, represented by three dots next to the customer name, allows you to initiate the sync to Shopify. Click this to create or update the customer profile in Shopify.
Enter customer information to sync with Shopify
A new modal dialog will pop up, where you can enter or adjust customer details. The fields are pre-populated with the information we already have, so you can easily review and complete the profile.
Easily spot opportunities to create Shopify profiles
If a customer has no data in any installed Shopify store, you’ll see a new callout in the sidebar. Clicking this will open the modal, allowing you to quickly fill in any missing details and sync the customer to Shopify.
Simpler UI for editing Gorgias profiles
While making updates to profile management, we also improved the process of updating a customer’s Gorgias profile. Before, updating a customer’s Gorgias profile required opening their profile and finding “Edit Customer” next to “Create Ticket.” Now, you can edit their profile directly from the ticket view—just click the three dots next to their name in the sidebar and select “Edit Customer.”
On top of this release, we’ve recently given you the ability to edit Shopify order notes to manage even more Shopify data from within Gorgias.
